Two topics are addressed under this theme: usual work hours and actual hours worked. Hours of work is an important component of employment quality. They provide information on the amount of time spent at work and the impact of work schedules on the balance between work and other social time (rest, recreation, family responsibilities, school). Actual hours worked provide information on actual time spent at work in view of usual work hours, absences and overtime.
