Marriage and divorce

This section presents data on marriage and divorce. Detailed data are released at the administrative region and RCM levels. Marriage data are taken from the Registre des événements démographiques maintained by the Institut de la statistique du Québec. Data on divorce were produced by Statistics Canada from data collected by the Central Registry of Divorce Proceedings of the Department of Justice of Canada; 2008 is the last year for which these data are available.
