The Rail Transportation sub-theme essentially provides a functional classification of the Québec rail network, i.e. network composition according to the different classes of rail lines (main; local and regional; shortline railways; business railways, other railways) in terms of length (km). These data are compiled and made public by the Direction du transport maritime, aérien et ferroviaire of the Ministère des Transports.
